TEDx NITCalicut talks are online now!

It was past six and the people were slowly filing out of Chanakya Hall. The speakers hadn’t left though, most were thronged with excited audience members. But all in all, it was over. TEDxNITCalicut had reached its conclusion, though Puneet would have begged to differ citing formalities that were yet to be completed. Now that this was the end, my mind was filled with pride to have been part of an event of such eminence; the pride tinged with sadness, now that all was over.

Wow! When we look back, we realize that we have indeed come a long way since the first time we were struck by the big idea. We have overcome the mid-semester lull and have actually made a lot of progress these past few months. So much so, that it almost drives us dizzy.

Exam season is over! Now we can finally put our books aside and put on the much needed momentum in the path to our efforts to spread the ideas of TED and to gain publicity and sponsorship for our very own TEDx.

Well the date is set but lots of work to be done. For us to move forward next step is the sponsorship and search for speakers. While we were boggling our minds on how to approach these matter, a great opportunity was provided by our college THE ALUMINI MEET "NOSTALGIA 2011" on 15th August . This was the first time after entering college that we got to work together as a team.

Now that the site is up at last, we, the TEDx team, can breathe freely, and can take this opportunity to pat ourselves on our backs.

It all started on February of this year. TEDx videos were always something eagerly sought after in the college campus, but nobody had come up with the idea of bringing it from the Internet into our own conference halls. Nobody, till that month of Feb, that is.
